Working Conditions This role is based on-site in a food production facility. The working environment may involve: - Exposure to cold, warm, or refrigerated areas depending on the product area. - Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hair nets, gloves, and protective footwear. - Shift patterns including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends on a rota basis. - Regular manual handling of ingredients, packaging, and finished goods. Description
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Food Production Operative to join our busy manufacturing team. You will play a key role in the production of high-quality food products, working in line with strict food safety, hygiene, and quality standards. This is a hands-on role requiring physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

- Operate production line machinery and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare, process, pack, and label food products to the required specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor product quality at each stage of production, reporting any defects or deviations to the supervisor.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and allergen control procedures at all times (including HACCP guidelines).
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised work area, carrying out cleaning duties as required.
- Accurately complete production records, batch sheets, and other relevant documentation.
- Assist with stock rotation, raw material handling, and ingredient preparation.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Report any equipment faults, safety hazards, or quality issues promptly to the appropriate person.
- Comply with all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in training, team briefings, and continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet targets.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and carry out manual handling tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible in approach to shift working.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
